On a recent long car journey we listened to the boys music for a change rather than my own and I discovered that there was some that I liked and some that I really, really disliked. So here are the winners and losers:

The five tracks I liked:

  • Somebody told me, The Killers
  • Rooftops, LostProphets
  • Creepin up the backstairs, The Fratellis
  • Henretta, The Fratellis
  • Everyday I love you less and less, Kaiser Chiefs

What I also discovered was that there were a number of bands that I took an instant dislike to. Particularly those with whiney American voices. Here the culprits are

  • Good Charlotte
  • Blink 182
  • Linkin Park
  • Bowling for soup

Conclusion? Well there are some great bands out there still that I am missing out on by listening to Radio 4 and there are some that no matter how many times I listen they’ll still irritate me.
