		<description>Welcome to the light side!  I&#039;ve been using WordPress since day 1 (which admittedly isn&#039;t as long ago as your Day 1) and I&#039;m pretty happy with it.

On the months in the sidebar, check out a plugin called SRG Clean Archives. That has some useful options that might do what you want.  I ended up using 2 archive scripts (to give individual posts for the current year, and monthly summaries for older).  There may be something cleverer since I did that (especially with the new Widgets) but I haven&#039;t found the time to check it out.  Why don&#039;t you go investigate, and then I&#039;ll just steal whatever you do...</description>
