I felt 'forced' to leave a job I loved because of this threatened closure although I was happy to drive 20 miles to work each day to work with children who really appreciated my input. I have been teaching for 14 years now and have never met such a committed team as that at Ryeish Green School. My last 2 schools were very 'high achieving' schools, with at least 75% A-C grades but believe me, the staff were not half as good as those at Ryeish Green. RGS has such a high proportion of students with educational needs. Parents will find it very hard indeed to find the support elsewhere that RGS provides for children with SEN. You would not believe how much these people care for children. If it hadn't been for all of these closure threats, I would still very happily be working at RGS now.
